IPOKIA LG:HON. OLAWALE AGBETOKUN DELIVERS MORE DIVIDEND OF DEMOCRACY

In a bid to deliver more dividends of democracy to the good people of Ipokia Local Government, the administration of Hon. Agbetokun Olawale Wasiu ( Onikoyi) ha nos embarked on construction of new projects.

On the 12th of December, 2023, Hon. Agbetokun laid the foundation of a block of twenty (20) lock- up shops with toilet facilities at Alaga in Ipokia and a block of three classrooms at Ipokia Local Government Primary School, Vawhe Tukuru in Maun Ward 2.

Same day, Hon. Agbetokun also laid foundation of a block of three class rooms at Community Primary School, Ibadan-Tube, in Tube Ward.

Speaking during the foundation laying ceremony at Alaga in Ipokia, Hon. Agbetokun Olawale Wasiu ( Onikoyi) disclosed that his administration has employed twenty two indigents of the Council Area since inception.

While praying that more developments will continue to be recorded in the Council Area, Onikoyi said that his administration has catered for the twelve Wards in the Council Area.

Onipokia of Ipokia kingdom His Royal Majesty, (HRM), Oba Yisa Olusola Olaniyan ( Oshingin II) and Ambassador Isiaka Adesola Abolurin, Balogun of Ipokia kingdom jointly commended Hon. Agbetokun for the projects, while soliciting for more, they said that the beneficiaries will benefit from their endeavors while doing their business activities in the lock- up shops.

Baale of Vahwe Tukuru, High Chief Afose Semako and Mrs Aliu Illimot Ololade, Head Teacher of IPLG Primary School, Vahwe Tukuru expressed deep gratitude to Hon. Agbetokun for the classroom projects, stressing that it will make learning easier for the pupils.

Hon. Agbetokun lauded the State Governor, His Excellency Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON, for giving the Councillors Constituency projects Fund, when he was laying foundation of a block of three classrooms at Community Primary School, Ibadan-Tube.

He assured the people that more dividends of Democracy are still on the way and that they should continue to support the government in both local and state level.

The Council Boss also presented a cash donation of Ten Thousand Naira to a Primary Two Pupil, Idowu Seyinwa, of Community Primary School, Ibadan-Tube, who performed brilliantly during question and answer session for the pupils, handled by the Council Chairman.

The events were attended by the Political Functionaries which included: Hon. Makunjuola Sewanu James, the Vice Chairman; Hon. Chief Mrs Yemi Mary Bamgboye, Secretary to the Local Government; Hon. Zangode Ezekiel Mautin, Leader of the House; Alhaji Bajo Sadiu, Super. for Agric; Hon. Obanla Rasheed, Super. for Environmental Health and Medical and Barr. Awodele Seyi, Super. for works and Housing.

Others are Mr Fagbenro Musa, Special Adviser on Special Duties; Mr Adegbola Oludare Kayode, Special Adviser on Revenue Generation.

The career officers were led by Mr. Sunday Adedamola Adewunmi, Head of Local Government Administration; the Treasurer Alhaja Kadijat Adetimehin; the Director of General Services and Administration, Mr Bisi Akinde; Engr. Tonu Osho Taiwo Olaneye, Director Works and Housing; Mrs. Olumide Esther and Head of Education, Information and Sports Department amongst others.

Other dignitaries are: Local Government Education Authority Secretary, Alhaja Fausat Oduntan; Mr Bankole Joseph, Education Officer; Hon. Taye Whepetoji, APC Party Chairman, Ipokia L.G; Alhaji Waliu Ajikobi, Chief Imam of Ipokia Kingdom, Chief Adagunja Thasi; Baale Tube, Chief Joshua; Baale Ipoiye, Hon. Apo Ezekiel former Vice Chairman Ipokia LG.
