LGSC Service Week Celebration: Odogbolu LG BOSS, Ladejobi, Gives Kudos to Ogun State Local Government Service Commission for her Laudable Initiative

The Executive Chairman of Odogbolu Local Government, Hon. Ladejobi Shuaib Adebayo, has given kudos to the Local Government Service Commission, LGSC, under the able leadership of an erudite scholar, astute administrator, and a legal practitioner par-excellence, Barrister Olivia Olubukunola Onabanjo, for its laudable initiative of organising the maiden edition of the Ogun State Local Government Service Week.
Hon. Ladejobi, in a chat in his office with the press men, was full of enthusiasm and could not but expressed his joy on the rationale behind the initiative, the first of its kind, not only in the history of Ogun State, but also in the history of Nigeria as a whole. He therefore immediately threw his weight behind it, and gave his unalloyed support to the program.
The week-long event, as planned and programmed, with the theme “Renewed Local Government Service” will run for seven consecutive days, starting from Friday, 10th to Thursday 16th, November, 2023, with the first day featuring the commission’s boss on the personality interview programme – New Dawn on OGTV by 7:45am. on Friday, 10th November, 2023.
This will be followed by a Jumat service at the Federal Secretariat Mosque, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, by 1:00pm.
The event continued on Sunday, 12th, November, 2023, with a thanksgiving service at the St. Sebastian’s Catholic Church, Bonojo, Ijebu Ode, Ogun State, by 10:00am.
On Monday, 13th, November, 2023, a Charity package and medical outreaches gestures will be extended to people at the Family Health Centre, Oke-Ilewo, in Abeokuta; Leslie Health Centre, Ilaro; Italapo Health Centre, Ijebu- Ode and Makun Health Centre, Sagamu, Ogun State, all taking place simultaneously by 10:00am.
The highlights of the week-long event also had it that on Tuesday, 14th, November, 2023 a public lecture would be held at the Obas’ Complex, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta by 10:00am. While a road show is slated to be staged from Local Government Service Commission, Oke Mosan, down to Abeokuta South Local Government Council, Ake, Abeokuta on Wednesday, 15th November, 2023, at 9:00am.
In the same vein, there will be a novelty football match on the same day between male political functionaries and career staff versus female counterparts at the MKO Abiola Stadium, Kuto, Abeokuta, by 2:00pm.
Meanwhile, the week, fully loaded with exciting events, comes to an end on Thursday, 16th, November, 2023 with a red carpet reception starting by 12:00 noon and a Gala night holding afterwards at the DLK events centre, Abeokuta. The grande-finale will feature among others, motivational packages, recognition of individuals and Award of Excellence to some carefully-selected and deserving local Government employees.
Furthermore, Hon. Ladejobi enjoined all the local governments staff in the Gateway State to embrace the laudable initiative of the Local Government Service Commission. He also implored them all to support the programme in their various capacities.
Besides, the number one Citizen in Odogbolu Local government area, seized the opportunity to appreciate the Executive Governor of our dear State, His Excellency, Dr (Prince) Dapo Abiodun, CON, for creating the enabling environment for the local Governments in the State to thrive.
He said the reflection of the conducive atmosphere created by our amiable Governor brought about the Local Government Service Week Celebration.
