Maintain your Goodwill in Retirement: Delano Charges Retiree Oyenuga Tinuola

Hon Chief (Mrs.) Kikelomo Aridunnu Delano, the Executive Chairman, Ifo Local Government has charged the retired Rate Officer for Ojodu Area Office of the Local Government, Mrs Oyenuga Tinuola to maintained her goodwill as she is retiring from the service.

Hon. Delano, gave the charge during a valedictory service held in honour of Mrs. Oyenuga Tinuola at the Council Secretariat in Ifo.

She described her as a diligent, industrious, calm, well mannered officer, who handled her official work with prompt attention and with little or no supervision by her superior officers.

The Council Boss, also enjoined the retiree to always be thankful to God for seeing her through the service years without any blemish.

Hon Delano prayed for God’s continuous guidance on the retiree, as she now becomes director of her own organisation, but reminded her that she should be ready to offer her assistance whenever her wealth of experience in the area of IGR for the Local Government is sought-after.

The Council Vice Chairman, who is also the Chairman, Internally Generated Revenue Task Force, Hon Adebesin Oladapo commended the doggedness and resilience of Mrs Oyenuga during the little period they worked together, while wishing her all the best in her future endeavours. He made the comment while performing the toast to the celebrant.

The Head of the Local Government and Administration, Mrs Taiwo Akintomide, while advising the celebrant, urged her to always put God first in all her daily endeavours, as He is the Alpha and Omega of human race and appealed to her to serve Him graciously and diligently.

She stated that, the retiree had came, seen and conquered and crowned her advise on the note that, the celebrant should assist the needy in the society as a means for God’s divine provision.

Mrs Akintomide also charged other revenue collectors in the Local Government to emulate the character and excellent performance of the celebrant.

In his welcome address earlier delivered, the Director of Finance and Supply Department, Alhaji Wasiu B. Junaid, (FCA), prayed for long life and prosperity for the celebrant and also wished her sickness free retirement. He also prayed for the success of the programme while committing everyone’s journey to their various destinations into the hands of God. He supervised the last assignment  in the service of the retiree as a revenue collector.

Mrs Oyenuga Tinuola was born into the family of late Mr. and Mrs. Mojeed of Isara Remo, Ogun State. She attended both Ebenezer Primary School, Odo Ona and Odo Ona Girls Grammar School, Ibadan, Oyo State and in her quest to further her education got admitted into Old Ogun State Polytechnic now Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta where she obtained OND and HND in Accountancy. She was employed into the Abeokuta Local Government in 1987 as a Clerical Assistant and by the special grace of God she rose to the post of Chief Executive Officer (Account). She served in numbers of Local Governments such as Abeokuta South, Obafemi/Owode, Sagamu, Isheri/ Akute LCDA and Ifo Local Governments respectively. During her service, she was appreciated and given awards as Best Revenue Collector, Overall Best Performing Officer of the Year amoyng others. She served the Local Governments for 35 years meritoriously and she was married and blessed with children.

The valedictory service was well attended by the Secretary to the Local Government, Hon. Idris Olalekan Kushimo; Director, Finance and Supply, Abeokuta South Local Government, Mrs. G. O. B Bankole; her counterparts from Ado- Odo- Ota Local Government, Mrs. Temitope Ejide (ACA); Directors, Heads of Departments, Unit Heads, Colleagues of the celebrant in Ifo Local Government, and other Local Governments, family, friends and well-wishers amongst  others.
