
Majekodunmi Assures Egba Chiefs of LG Support on Road Rehabilitation

Hon. Omolaja Ayodele Majekodunmi (HOAM), has assured the Traditional Chiefs in Egbaland, led by the Jagunmolu Aje of Egbaland, Chief Shuabu Adisa Aro, AROCOM, of the Council’s support in the rehabilitation of roads within and across the Local Government Area.
The Council Boss made this known during the Local Government’s official visit to Itoku Market.
While speaking with the Council Boss, the Jagunmolu Aje of Egbaland, Chief Shuabu Adisa Aro, popularly known as AROCOM, appealed to the leadership of the Local Government to seriously look into the issue of road rehabilitation, due to its effect on the economic prospects of the Local Government Area.
Chief Aro stressed that, by obtaining the statutory approval for the commencement of the rehabilitation of the road network within the communities, it will not only expand the growth of the markets but will also bring rapid development to the Economy activities within the Council Area.
Responding, the executive chairman, Hon. Omolaja Ayodele Majekodunmi said most of the road projects are beyond the ambit of the Local Government, especially the Truck A and B roads which are for the Federal and State Governments respectively.
He solicited that the council should be given more time to consult the relevant authorities, in bringing lasting solutions to the dilapidated roads within the Council Area.
Others in attendance were: the Vice Chairman, Surveyor Iretiolu Sotayo; Councilor Ward 11, Hon.Wasiu Ogundimu; Councilor Ward 12, Hon. Taiwo Adenekan; The Head of Local Government Administration (HOLGA), Mr ‘Segun Ogunjobi; the Consultant to the LG on Land matters, Mrs. Afolasade Odeyemi amongst others.
