
MAJEKODUNMI ORDERS REMOVAL OF ILLEGAL OUTLETS ERECTED BESIDE OPEN UNIVERSITY, ABEOKUTA

The Executive Chairman, Abeokuta South Local Government, Ake, Hon Omolaja Ayodele Majekodunmi has directed, that all users of commercial outlets beside the National Open University, Abeokuta, should vacate the area.
Hon Majekodunmi gave the directives today, Friday, 11th March, 2022, while inspecting the area with officials of the Council Area.
He also gave instructions that motorists who have also turned the area into a motor park should also leave the area.
The Council boss who was accompanied by the Vice Chairman, Head of Local Government Administration, as well as officers from the Water and Environmental Sanitation Department, said that the incessant complaints of residents within the area about the unkept environment by the users of the commercial outlets as well as the open defecation has prompted the Council’s intervention.
He therefore appealed to owners of the outlets and the commercial drivers to understand the need to maintain a clean, healthy and safe environment free from miscreants, and assured them of their prompt relocation by the government after due and proper consultations.
