McTominay’s Stoppage Time Brace Gives Man United Victory Against Bees in a Dramatic Come Back at Old Trafford

Erik Ten Hag men, the Red devils escaped defeat at Old Trafford by a whisker, thanks to the stunning performance of the super sub, Scott McTominay, who was the saving grace with stoppage time goals to send the Theatre of dream into a wild jubilation.

The encounter, that saw the Bees defending well with occasional attacks, restricting any space, thereby forcing Manchester United to play according to their dictates.

However, in the 25th minute, United error saw Mathias Jensen low left footed shot from 10 yards beat Andre Onana for the opener.

The first half saw Marcus Rashford and Rasmus Hojlund on few occasions with solo efforts that were not good enough to rattle the Bees.

Christian Ericksen came in to replace off form Casemiro, giving United another offensive threat against the Bees but they stood their ground, resisting every dangerous incursions.

In the final 30 minutes, with the introduction of Anthony, Alejandro Garnacho, and Anthony Martial saw United probing deep into the Brentford vital area but they lacked the instinct to bury the chances that came their way.

McTominay was thrown into the fray to the displeasure of the United fans. He later produced the magic wand by registering the much needed equalizer, flicking the ball beyond Thomas Strakosha, who was making his debut for the Bees.

In the 97th minute, McTominay was on song again, after beating the offside trap to head home the 2nd goal that sent the whole arena into frenzy.

Meanwhile, the Blues continued their winning streak with an emphatic victory against Burnley . It was the home side that struck first in the 15 th minute via Odobert but Chelsea restored parity before the break through Al- Dakhil own goal.

The encounter ended by four goals to one in favour of away side with other three goals from Palmer, Sterling and Jackson.
