NEW NEGBUWA OF IBIDO RECEIVES STAFF OF OFFICE

The Executive Governor of Ogun state, His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun, MFR, has installed the new Negbuwa of Ibido land, in Sagamu Local Government Area of the State.
The Negbuwa, HRH, Alayenuwa, Oba Kolawole Adesina Adeyemi, hail from Solomade ruling house in ibido, Sagamu.
The Governor who was represented by the State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Afolabi Afuape, urged the new king to be accessible, responsive and receptive to the people’s yearning and aspirations.
Adding that the Kabiyesi’s position should literally always be to serve the people.
The Governor further advised the new Negbuwa not only to uphold the people’s culture and tradition, but be democratic in his dealing and approach to issues with his subjects, in order to be able to create a conducive environment for economic development and growth of the town.
In His own remarks, the Akarigbo and Paramount Ruler of Remoland, His Royal Majesty, Oba Babatunde Adewale Ajayi, congratulated the people of ibido for the epoch making event, adding that the installation was a milestone achievement to the dignity and honour of the Royal stool in Sagamu Local Government Area.
Akarigbo of Remo land, therefore, enjoined the indigenes to cooperate with the new Negbuwa, in order to fast track the development, which had been delayed for years.
In his acceptance speech, Oba Kolawole thanked Governor Abiodun for upholding the culture and traditional norms of the land and therefore expressed the heartfelt appreciation of the entire people of ibido, especially Solomade ruling house, for His Excellency goodwill and kind gesture.
The new Negbuwa called on all His subjects to always embrace and live in love, unity and peace, for an overall socio-economic development of the town.
Earlier in his welcome address, the chairman of Sagamu Local Government, Hon. Afolabi Odulate, urged the Monarch to always see His Royal Highness position as that of father to ALL, by embracing everyone with love, understanding and upholding the the customs and traditions of the land.
Hon Odulate rejoiced with Oba Kolawole and appreciated the kabiyesi ‘s endurance and perseverance during the waiting period of selection.
