Obafemi Owode LG Begins Road Rehabilitation in October

The Executive Chairman Obafemi Owode local government, Hon Adesina Ogunsola has assured the residents of the local government Area that, as soon as the current raining season subsided, the Council will start the grading of all roads in the Area in fulfilment of his Campaign promises

Hon Ogunsola gave the assurance while receiving the Council of Baales in Obafemi Owode local government who paid him a visit in his office on Monday.

While receiving the Council of Baales , Hon Ogunsola appreciated them for coming despite their tight schedules in their various communities and promised that his administration will continue to identify with the Baales across the Council Area .

He then solicited for their support urging them to appeal to their people to cooperate with the government by ensuring that they pay their taxes and levies and other related fees promptly to the coffers of the local government.

This is the more reason that, immediately I assumed office as the Executive Chairman, My administration approved the over hauling of the local government grader and thank God that the grader is now in good working condition and I have also requested from the State government to grant us the over hauling of the grader they gave us from the State to complement the local government grader.

Earlier in his speech, the Chairman Council of Baales in Obafemi Owode local government, Chief Kasunmu Sonola, Congratulated the Council Boss on his victory at the recently concluded local government election and then appealed on behalf of other Baales to see to their welfare.

Chief Sonola who is also the Baale of Asese village then urged the local government to help them complete their proposed Baales Secretariat Complex.

He also requested for a Toyota Hilux bus for the usage of all Baales in the Council Area, as this will ease their means of transportation whenever there is an official engagement.

Chief Sonola also appealed to the local government Chairman to help them beef up the Security in their various Communities in order to arrest the incessant kidnapping and destruction of their farm land by the Fulani herdsmen.
