Obafemi Owode Local Govt Inaugurates Ajebo Community Health Committee

The Executive Chairman  Obafemi Owode Local Government, Hon Adesina Ogunsola in fulfilment of his campaign promises, has inaugurated a Committee to see to the rehabilitation of the two Local government Primary Health Centers in Ajebo on Monday, 20th September, 2021 at the Council Secretariat, Owode- Egba.

Inaugurating the Committee, the Chairman said he decided to swing into action based on his promise to fully put into use the two centers in the town after his assessment tour of the two health centers.

Hon Ogunsola said that within the few months that his administration has come on board, it has achieved a lot in terms of developmental projects which includes the facelift of the administrative block of Obafemi Owode local government, renovations of the Legislative Chamber to mention a few.

He said the rehabilitation of the Primary Health Care Center in Ajebo used by FMC, as a Community outreach clinic and the rehabilitation of the Health post also in Ajebo are the next point of call which his administration will renovate for the use of the good people of the local government.

“I hereby enjoined this committee, being  inaugurated today, to resolve the looming crisis going on in Ajebo community and to come up with modalities for the Rehabilitation of the two Health centers in Ajebo” he said.

He therefore charged the committee members to settle the looming crisis between the community, local government and others.

The Council Boss appealed to Ajebo sons and daughters both home and abroad to assist the Council in the rehabilitation of the Health centers as government can’t do it alone.

Hon. Ogunsola then used the medium to congratulate Prof. Musa Olomu on his recent re-appointment as the Chief Medical Director of Federal Medical Center, Idi Aba Abeokuta, urging him to use his good office in transforming the Health Centers.

While responding on behalf of the committee members, Dr.Abdul Jeleel Bakare thanked the Chairman for giving them the opportunity to serve, promising to work hard to deliver on their mandate.

Members of the Committee are: Hon Titus Olusesi Babatunde-Chairman; Dr. Abdul Jeleel Bakare – member; Dr Ahmed Abdullai- Member; Dr Mojirola Fasiku—member; Hon. Olusanjo Abiodun-member; Comrade Oniyide Adegboyega- Secretary; Hon. Adewale Odamo -member; Alhaji Kunle Sonola-member; Chief Sule Kabiru-member and Mrs Fatima Olayiwola, member.

Present at the event are: the Vice Chairman, Hon. Titus Olusesi Babatunde; Hon. Olusanjo Abiodun, Councillor representing Ajebo Ward; Head of local government Administration, Mr Fatai Ogundele; All Heads of department; Community leaders in Ajebo; APC party Chieftains; Medical Practitioners from FMC, Idi Aba, Abeokuta and Information Crew, Obafemi – Owode Local Government amongst others.
