OGHA VISITS SAGAMU LOCAL GOVERNMENT ON OVERSIGHT FUNCTION

The House Committee on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, led by Hon (Mrs)Ajayi Bolanle Lateef, has given kudos to the Executive Chairman, Sagamu Local Government, Hon Odulate Afolabi during their visit to the Council Secretariat in Ayepe road, Sagamu.

The OGHA Committee members were in the Council Area to perform an oversight function of monitoring the Budget implementation and Projects executed by the new administration.

The Committee applauded the Chairman of the Local Government for good budget performance and implementation, for the month of July to September, 2021 under  review.

The Committee compared the differences between Capital Expenditure and Overhead costs, and advised the Council Boss to embark on more Capital Projects than Recurrent Expenditures, for an overall development and delivering dividend  of democracy to the grassroots.

Hon. Odulate in his response, appreciated the Committee for their visit, with assurance of improvement on the aforementioned areas.

He promised more developmental Projects such as Construction of motorable roads, more schools, construction of Health centres within the fifteen wards, provision of portable water and constant drug supply to all Health centres.

Hon Odulate, extended his appreciation to His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun, MFR, for the trust repose in him to be part of His Excellency transformation program, in making the State to be investment destination point in the Country.

Present at the Budget evaluation were: Hon Ganiyu Alani, Hon Abdul Bashir Oladunjoye, Hon Bello Atinuke, Hon Osho Solomon Oluwaseyi, Hon Ajibola Sikiratu Olawunmi; Head of Local Government Administration, Engr A.A Ayoade, and all the management staff of Sagamu Local Government.
