OGUN FIRST LADY MEETS MRS MUSA, OTHERS ON NATION BUILDING

The First Lady of Ogun State, Mrs. Bamidele Abiodun recently met with the current and immediate Wives of the Chairmen of Local Government Areas in the State at a luncheon held in Abeokuta for familiarisation and jaw-jaw on the role of Women in Nation Building.

The meeting took place on Sunday, 3rd October, 2021, at the State House and in attendance amongst others is the Chairperson and wife the Executive Chairman of Ado-odo/Ota Local Government, Mrs Temitope Musa who ably represented the interest of all the Women in Ado-odo/Ota Council Area.

At the luncheon, the Wife of the Governor, Mrs Bamidele Abiodun intimated the audience, that the move is the first of many in her bid to foster a good working relationship with the Councils’ Chairperson in order to help their husbands succeed in the herculean task of Nation building.

The role of women to make the society better came to the front burner, the need to proffer the way forward and systematically device the means by which the Administration could alleviate the grassroots from abject poverty and lack of opportunities were discussed thoroughly.

“In addition, often neglected topics pertaining to women and children will once again become focal points. With the government support, children will soon heave a sigh of relief and the women would have a cause to smile in no time” the Governor’s wife said.

In attendance were all the current Chairpersons and immediate past Chairpersons.
