
OGUN LG WEEK: Hon Mudashir Felicitates Onabanjo, Urges Colleagues to Join Hands in the Epoch Making Events

The Executive Chairman, Ogun Waterside Local Government, Hon. Alhaji Mudashir Abdul-Lateef Adekunle has felicitated the Chairman, Ogun State Local Government Service Commission Ms. Olivia Olubukunola Onabanjo on the organization of the first ever Ogun State Local Government Service Week and urged his colleagues in other Local Governments of Ogun State to join hands with the Commission in a bid to record huge success at the end the epoch making events.
Hon. Mudashir made the statements known while speaking with the Journalists in his office at Abigi, recently.
He commended the moves and enjoined the organizers on the sustainability of the programme, while noting that it is a worthwhile events which needs to be sustained. He also described the week long events as means of showcasing the third tier of government as the one closest to the grassroots as well as rewarding Excellence amongst the workforce, which according to him, is a way of boosting morales of the entire staffers of the twenty Local Governments in the State.
According to the release signed by Mr. Owolabi B. A, Director, Management Services, Ogun State Local Government Service Commission, the week is introduced to live up to the vision, mission and core values of the Service as the most disciplined, ethically and professionally grounded Local Government Service and to be the cynosure of all eyes. It is also, to position the Ogun State Local Government Service as a reference point and a trailblazer in the Local Government Administration in Nigeria.
He emphasized that, it has been scheduled to kick start on Friday 10th November and ends on Thursday 16th November, 2023. He added that the activities is lined up as follows:
The Local Government Service Commission is to feature on Friday, 10th November, on a Programme on Ogun State Television, OGTV, New Dawn, by 7.45am. Followed by Jumat Service at the Federal Secretariat Mosque, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, by 1p.m.
On Sunday 12th November, 2023 10a.m, with a Thanksgiving Service at St Catholic Church, Bonojo, Ijebu Ode.
On Monday 13th November, 2023 by 10a.m prompt, there will be Medical Outreaches/Charity Programme at four different provinces of the State and they include: Family Health Centre, Oke-mosan, Leslie Health Centre, Ilaro; Italapo Health Centre, Ijebu Ode and Makun Health Centre, Sagamu respectively.
According to the release, the programmes continued on Tuesday 14th November, 2023 with a Public Lecture at Oba’s Complex, Governor’s Office, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta by 10a.m. And, on Wednesday 15th November, 2023 by 9a.m there will be Road Show from Oke-Mosan to Abeokuta South Local Government, Ake, Abeokuta and back to the Local Government Service Commission, Oke-Mosan.
A novelty match between the Male Political Functionaries /Career Officers Vs Female Political Functionaries /Career Officers of the Local Government Service at the M.K.O Abiola International Stadium, Kuto, Abeokuta will as well be played by 2pm.
While, the grand finale comes up on Thursday 16th November, 2023 by 12 Noon with Red Carpet at D.L.K Event Centre, Abiola Way, Abeokuta followed by Gala Night/Award of Excellence at the same venue.
