Ogun LGSC Boss, Onabanjo Hosts State Exco of Nigeria Institute of Quantity Surveyors, Vows to Uphold Professionalism

The Chairman, Ogun State Local Government Service Commission, LGSC, Barrister Olivia Olubukunola Onabanjo, has riteriated her commitment to ensure that the commission, continue to engage qualified personnel in the day to day running of the local governments.

Onabanjo stated this, while receiving the State Executive Officers of the Nigerian institute Of Quantity Surveyors, who were on a courtesy visit to the commission, on Tuesday, 24th May, 2022.

While responding to the call, for the engagement of Quantity Surveyors in the Local Government Service, Ms. Onabanjo disclosed the efforts of the Commission at ensuring that qualified and experienced officers are being employed to different cadres in the Local Government service.

She assured the Surveyors that the management of the commission will look into the engagement of qualified Quantity Surveyors into the Local government service, whenever there is approval from the State Government.

Receiving the team on behalf of the Chairman, the Permanent Secretary, LGSC, Dr Adeolu Olufowobi, appreciated the Surveyor executives for the visit, stating that, the commission will always liaise with them on issues that concerns their association and the local governments.

The Chairman, Ogun State Institute of Quantity Surveyors, Q.S. Ayoade Sonde,  applauded the commission and Governor Dapo Abiodun led government for the people oriented projects, adding that Ogun state Local Government Service Commission is one of the proactive agencies they have visited, that is quite encouraging.

He then appealed to the commission to help consider some of their members in the area of employment generation, stressing that, no single member of the Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors is employed in Ogun State and Local  Civil Service.
