OGUN LGSC HOLDS SERVICE WEEK CHURCH THANKSGIVING CEREMONY IN GRAND STYLE

… Ms Onabanjo charges residents to continue supporting Gov Abiodun’s administration in its bid to transform Ogun State.
In continuation of the activities, marking the Maiden Edition of the Local Government Service Week, a Thanksgiving Service was held at St. Timothy Catholic Church, Degun in Ijebu Ode.
In his sermon at the service, the Parish Priest, Rev. Father Michael Adebanjo appreciated the good works of the Ogun State Local Government Service Commission, LGSC, under the leadership of Ms Olivia Olubukunola Onabanjo.
Rev. Father Adebanjo, culling the text of the sermon from the book of Mathew, Chapter 25, verse 1-3, enjoined the congregation to take a cue from the five wise virgins who took along oil in their vessels with their lamps while equally charging them to be watchful, ” For ye know neither the day nor hour wherein the son of man cometh .”
The clergy man also charged the Local governments members of staff of the Commission to be more dedicated in discharge of their duties and urged them to remain committed to transforming the grassroots.
He advised members of the Commission to always care for the needy and continue to render their services to both state and the nation.
Meanwhile, the Chairman of Ogun State Local government Service Commission, Ms Olivia Olubukunola Onabanjo has charged the Ogun residents to continue to support the Prince Dapo Abiodun led administration in its bid to transform the State.
Ms Onabanjo gave the charge while speaking at the Thanksgiving Service to commemorate year 2023 Ogun State Local Government Service Week, held at St. Timothy Catholic Church, Degun, ljebu-Ode.
According to her, the government need people’s support to deliver dividends of democracy to the populace, and this they can do by performing their civic duties such as prompt payment of taxes and levies.
She then appealed to the people to always align with the government in transforming the State, adding that government will always prioritize the welfare of her people.
Ms Onabanjo however warned against indiscriminate dumping of refuse on the road side, saying that Prince Dapo Abiodun led administration will continue to meet up with the ISEYA mantra.
In attendance with the Chairman Local Government Service Commission are Dr. Olusesan Abolaji Fagbayi, Honourable Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Ogun State; LGSC Full Time Commissioners, ALGON Chairman, Ogun State, Hon Emilola Gazal, alongside with the Chairmen of Abeokuta South, Ijebu North, Odogbolu, Ijebu North-East and the Vice Chairman of Ogun Waterside Local Government.
Others are; the Permanent Secretary, all the directors of the Commission as well as all the twenty Heads of Local Government Administration (HOLGA) and Information crew of the Commission.
