..….. rolls out activities for the one week event.

All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. It is on this premise that Ogun State Local Government Service Commission, ably led by the indefatigable MS Olivia Olubukunola Onabanjo organized an unprecedented varieties of activities for the LOCAL GOVERNMENT SERVICE WEEK. All local government workers in Ogun State will take time off the duties to come together to showcase the potentials of the Local Government Service as well as identifying with each other, while capping it up with awards for the deserving officers to motivate them in the discharge of their duties.

According to the statement released by the management of the Ogun State Local Government Service Commission, the one week Local Government Service Week which is scheduled to kick start on Friday, 10th of November, 2023, has been lined up with various interesting Programmes to make the event a glamorous and memorable one.

The event will be heralded with the featuring of the Chairman of the Local Government Service Commission on the popular television programme, New Dawn, on Ogun State Television, ( OGTV) on Friday, 10th November.

Thereafter, a Jumat Service at the Federal Secretariat Mosque, Oke-Mosan and also on Sunday, 12th November, Thanksgiving Service will hold at St’ Timothy Cathedral Church, Degun, Ijebu Ode.

There will be medical outreach/charity programme on Monday, 13th of November, 2023 in the four zones at designated venues.

In Egba zone, Ake Palace in Abeokuta will serve as the centre, Itoro in Ijebu Ode as the centre for Ijebu zone, Empire field, Ilaro will serve as the centre for Yewa while Oniyanrin in Sagamu will be the centre for Remo zone.

In continuation of the programmes slated for the event, on Tuesday, 14th November,2023, there will be a public lecture slated to hold at Obas’ Complex, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, starting from 10am. While on Wednesday, 15th November, 2023, it will be time for road show within the vicinity of the state capital, commencing from 9 am, to create awareness among the public.

On the same day by 2pm, all roads will lead to M.K.O. Abiola International Stadium, Kuto in Abeokuta, venue for the novelty match.

The grand finale to draw the curtain on the 2023 LG SERVICE WEEK, will hold at DLK Events Centre, Abiola Way, Abeokuta on Thursday, 16th November, 2023 with a twin event, Red Carpet, commencing from 12 noon while the main event, Award of Excellence/Gala Nite will take the centre stage from 2pm.

Dignitaries from all walks of life are being expected to grace the epoch making event, with maximum security guaranteed at the various designated venues.
