Ogun NAWOJ Organizes a 3 day Retreat for Members

The Nigeria Association of Women Journalists, NAWOJ, Ogun State Chapter is Organizing a 3 day retreat for members, on the need to keep journalists abreast of the New trends in the Profession, in preparation for the next year general elections.
A statement by the Ogun NAWOJ Chairperson, Mrs Modupeola Sobukonla and the Chairman Planning Committee, Mrs Sekinat Salam Opebiyi, indicated that, the retreat with the theme “Media Equal Access for Political Participation and Reporting” will be held at Park Inn by Radisson Hotels, Kuto, Abeokuta on Wednesday 27th to Friday 29th July, 2022.
According to the statement, array of speakers selected for the retreat included; The Deputy Director, Training, Voice of Nigeria, Mrs Ugonma Cokey; Mrs Funmi Wakama, the General Manager, NTA Abeokuta; a former Chief Press Secretary, to the Former Governor of Ogun State, Gbenga Daniel, Mr Dare Folarin and the Ogun State Coordinator of Nigeria Broadcasting Commission, NBC, Mrs Bosede Williams.
While the Ogun State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Alhaji Abdulwaheed Odusile, is the Special Guest of Honour and will be declaring the Retreat open.
It was also stated that, selected female Journalists across the state with the support of some male counterparts as participants will be camped for the three days, with a visit to Lagos Beach on Friday Morning.
