Ogun State Government Advance Team Visits Tongeji Island In Ipokia Local Government Area

The Deputy Chief of Staff to the Governor of Ogun State, Dr Oluwatoyin Taiwo in the Company of the Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Chief Sesan Fagbayi paid official visit to the Akoko of Tongeji Island, Oba Okiki ObabiOlorunKosi in Ipokia local government.
Dr. Taiwo said they paid the Visit on the instructions of the state governor, His Excellency Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON, as advance team to get the overview of the Island before the visit of the Governor.
Accompany them also are the Senior Special Assistant on Boundary matters to the Deputy Governor, Alhaja Hadijat Hammed; the Executive Chairman of Ipokia Local Government, Hon. Agbetokun Olawale Wasiu (Onikoyi) and some principal officers of the Council.
Speaking at the Akoko’s palace, the Deputy Chief of Staff, stated that the advance team visited to know the condition and the needs of the people of Tongeji Island because the State Government is ready to deliver the dividends of democracy to the inhabitants.
Oba Okiki ObabiolorunKosi, however, emphasized more on the need for a good road network and a bridge that connects both Tongeji and Whekan so that life can become meaningful to the people of the area.
Supporting the speech of the Deputy Chief of Staff, Hon. Agbetokun, the council chairman, assured the people that, His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun (CON) is willing to do more than they can ever think of, being a man of his word.
