Ogun State Set to Host 2024 National Sports Festival, Unveils Mascot, Logo, Theme Song

Ogun State is gearing up to host the 2024 National Sports Festival, dubbed The Gateway Games, Ogun2024, from May 16 to 31, with an expected 15,000 athletes and sports enthusiasts from across Nigeria.

The official unveiling of the event’s mascot, logo, and theme song took place recently, with Deputy Governor Noimot Salako-Oyedele representing His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun CON. The ceremony highlighted the state’s readiness to deliver what promises to be the most exciting and innovative edition of the festival yet.

In her remarks, the Deputy Governor expressed gratitude to the Director-General of the National Sports Commission the Local Organising Committee (LOC), and key sponsors, including PremiumTrust Bank, for their support in promoting youth development through sports.

Prince Dapo Abiodun has called on all indigenes and residents of Ogun State to rally behind the event, showcasing the state’s renowned hospitality, culture, and warmth. Attendees are encouraged to participate in the games, support the athletes, and contribute to a memorable experience for visitors.
