Ogun Waterside LG: Hon Mudashir presents cash gift to mother of triplets, Staffs hold new year thanksgiving service

The Executive Chairman, Hon. Mudashir Abdulateef Adekunle has congratulated and welcomed to his office, a mother of triplets, an indigene of the council area, Mrs. Abotaiwo Agnes, age 30 for successful delivery of the babies, a boy and two girls, at the Comprehensive Health Centre, Abigi.

The council boss, Hon. Mudashir, presented a cash gift to Mrs Abotaiwo Agnes, the mother of the triplets and enjoined her to take good care of the babies “because they are special gifts from the Almighty God” he said.

And as part of his concern for the health care of his people, Hon Mudashir also directed the council’s Director, Primary Health Care Department, Dr. Oladipupo Kazeem to refer the mother and the triplets to Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital, OOUTH, Sagamu with the assistance of the state Commissioner of health, Dr Tomi Coker, for adequate and intensive care of the babies and their mother.

The council’s medical Doctor, Dr. Oladipupo Kazeem had earlier informed the Council Chairman about the need for the proper care of the triplets and their mother, after he examined them.

In another development, the staff of the council area gathered together to offer praises and thanksgiving prayers to God Almighty for making to witness year 2023 in good health and sound mind.

It was a jubilation galore, fanfare, during the praise worship and inter- denominational service, on Thursday 26th January, 2023 at the Ogun Waterside Local Government Secretariat, the entire members of staff trooped out in large numbers to appreciate God for His mercies over them.

The Chairman, Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), Comrade Adefowora Abayomi who welcomed everyone into the epoch making yearly event appreciated God Almighty for sparing the lives of the Executive, Legislative Arms as well as all the Career Officers throughout last year and till now.

He specially thanked the Executive Chairman, Hon. Mudashir Adekunle and the Head of Local Government Administration, Mr. Rufus Olaleye, as the duo made the occasion a huge success.

In his speech, the Executive Chairman, Hon. Alh. Mudashir Abdulateef Adekunle, expressed his appreciation to God Almighty who made the day a memorable one and also thanked His Excellency, governor Dapo Abiodun, MFR,  for the relative support his administration has been enjoying from him.

Hon Mudashir also commended the efforts of the Holga, Directors/ Heads of Department and units, NULGE Chairman and the  executives and all the staff who have been supportive to his administration.

He advised them to show more resilience, commitment, cooperation and support to his administration because, he too is ready to reciprocate the kind gestures, if such could be brought to bear.

The high point of the event was the sermons, special prayers and praise worships from Pastor Babatunde Adetayo and Imam Musa Timi as the duo’s sermons and prayers were well delivered respectively while the gathering were treated to lots of fanfare.

The Head of Local Government Administration, Mr. Rufus Olaleye in his speech, extended the entire staff appreciation to the Executive Chairman, Hon. Mudashir, while noting the fatherly role he played recently, which if not for his wealth of experience cum prompt steps he took, things could have degenerated beyond control.

Mr Olaleye acknowledged that, the level of performance of this administration on the infrastructural development despite the paucity of funds to the council, can be ascribed to team work.

He then prayed for the chairman successful tenure and that, he will live from higher to higher.

At the occasion are;  the Vice Chairman, Hon. Princess Phillips Abioye; Supervisor for Primary Health Care, Alhaja Adeleke Muinat; Supervisor for Works and Housing, Miss Ogunfuyi Omolara; Supervisor for Agricultural and Natural Resources, Mr. Lamidi Kabiru; Hon. Adewale, Consultant to the Chairman on IGR; Directors/ Heads of Department, Units Head, Nulge Executives, members of staff, and NYSC members amongst others.
