She also thanked the outgoing leadership, led by Yeye Otunba Adetola Hassan and her team, for their wise leadership and for the excellent example they have forever set up.

I  excitedly forward to working with you all peacefully but most importantly OBJECTIVELY over the next four years such that our congregation will be extremely profitable to one and all, because time is more costly than money and we’ll be spending a lot of time together

She stated that, “I stand before you today and indeed before history, deeply touched and inspired by your generous words of congratulations, encouragement and trust”

“With boundless gratitude for the confidence and trust reposed in me by the entire members of our Alumnae Association WORLDWIDE, and with an unswerving resolve to honour that trust, I humbly accept my election as the GLOBAL President of this great Association” she stressed.

“I must confess that I feel very privileged to follow in line of very remarkable old students of AGGS who have led this Association, in particular, Yeye Otunba Adetola Hassan of EYE FOUNDATION, the immediate past GLOBAL President of our Association” she added.

Olusolape thanked, the immediate past National President, Yeye Otunba Adetola Hassan for her wise, competent leadership and for the excellent example she has forever set for everyone, leading the worldwide body of AGGS Old Students’ Association through the past years.

She affirmed that, It is on record that, Adetola Hassan tenure brought so much stability and progress to the global body of the Association, because of the steady gaze she kept on all details, no matter how irrelevant.

She stated further that, it was in the same vein, that the immediate past National President passion, resilience, focus and unnatural patience in the face of unjustifiable opposition in conjunction with her team of brilliant, selfless and tireless planning committee brought everyone together from all over the global community, for the first ever Aggsoga global conference, which God used to initiate an unquenchable chain reaction of coming together within the body of our Alumnae Association.

Olusolape asserted that, the work is just about to begin and that, she and her team, shall need to tap from the resilience and wealth of experience of the outgoing President as they all move on from here.

Yeye Otunba Adetola Hassan, be assured of my resolve to build upon your legacy and continue with the master plan, she promised

“I’ll like to pause here and say a loud congratulations to the 1978 set of our school of which I’m a proud member” Olusolape said.

She assured that, there will be a more elaborate roadmap after due consultations as soon as possible, especially the issues concerning the Aggs Private school.

She attested that, the interest shown in the election of our Association attest not only to the abiding relevance of our alma mater, in the lives of its Alumnae but also the central place of the Association in the development of AGGS.

“We need to translate this interest into empirical gains, and the mobilization of all of us for this project will be at the core of my leadership” she reinstated.

“It is our hope, God helping us, that at the end of our tenure, every member of our association will be proud of us, such that the upcoming ones will look forward to joining the Alumnae and contributing to the progress of the school as soon as possible” she said.

She however congratulated other elected National Executive Officers and  encouraged them to give the assignment their full vigor.

She also advised other Exco members, stating that, “We all must understand that what we have enjoyed is a privilege of being chosen out of a vast pool of resources available to our alma mater. I see myself at this moment as “the first among equals’ according to Jeffrey Archer, and ask all of us to work together as a team for the larger good of our association and our Alma mater”

“On behalf of myself and all the members of this new executives, a promise is made today that we will give the task ahead our very best” she stated.

” I must not end this speech without thanking my family, particularly my adorable husband, without whose express permission and consent , I would never have been able to sign up for this assignment.” She said.

As an optimist and a very strong believer in God Almighty, she therefore called on all members of the Association to lay aside all vain things to join hands together in working assiduously for an Alumnae Association that can deliver more and better.
