Hails Passage of Police Pension Board Bill and Congratulates IGP …

The Acting National Chairman of the Police Community Relations Committee, (PCRC), Prof. Nick Ezeh has hailed the National Assembly on the exemption of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) from the Contributory Pension Scheme (CPS) and the return of the Force to the old Defined Benefit Scheme (DBS).

According to a release signed by Comrade Kunle Sodipo, the SSA Media and Publicity, Office of the National Chairman, PCRC; While reacting on behalf of the National Chairman, Alhaji Mogaji Ibrahim Olaniyan, who is currently away in Saudi Arabia on 2023 Pilgrimage, the Ag. National Chairman and Deputy National Chairman South, thumped up the National Assembly for the bold step taken in the passage of the two highly important Bills.

He maintained that, this will surely address the many bottlenecks in Police pension and as well have many positive impacts in the lives of all Police officers and men.

He also congratulated the Inspector General of Police, IGP Usman Alkali Baba and his management team on the historic achievement and as well express his joy and happiness, on the fact that, the many visits and efforts of the PCRC National leadership at the National Assembly on the subject matter with three different letters on reasons why the Bills must scale through has yielded positive results.

Professor Nick then assured the NPF leadership of the continuous support of the PCRC in partnership with the Community for the realisation of all ideas and actions that will boost the morale, enhance productivity and redefine the act of policing in Nigeria.
