President Muhammed Buhari to unveil new Naira notes tomorrow at FEC

President Muhammadu Buhari will unveil the new naira notes of 200,500 and 1,000 Naira notes tomorrow 23rd November against 15th December 2022 earlier fixed for the ceremony.

Central Bank Governor Godwin Emefiele who stated this says President Buhari will perform the unveiling at the weekly Federal Executive Council meeting by 10 in the morning.

The apex Bank Governor who noted that CBN will not shift the deadline for exchange of the old naira to the new naira notes said Nigerians in the Diaspora have no reason to spend naira.

He however observed that RAISING RATES of Inflation WILL HURT GROWTH BUT AT THIS TIME, GIVING THE RATE OF RISE IN INFLATION, MONETARY POLICY IS LEFT WITH NO OPTION THAN TO INCREASE RATE adding that the AGENCY BANKING NETWORK is NOW 1.4 MILLION.
