Red Devils Conquer Man. City in Manchester Derby, Maintain Winning Streaks

Manchester United came back dramatically to snatch victory against City rivals, Manchester City in the local derby at the Old Trafford with 75, 546 spectators in attendance.

The hard won victory saw United from a goal down to snatch victory with two quick goals to secure the maximum three points.

The drab first half saw the red devils playing two men up front with Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial which yielded no positive result, while Manchester City were on occasional break that did not really threatened United defense, marshalled by Varane and Shaw at the centre back and Wan Bissika, Malacia, playing as full backs.

Erling Haaland, the goal poacher for City was well caged, leaving City miserable in front of goal for the better part of the 1st half.

At the resumption of proceedings in the second half, the tempo of the game changed, most especially when city broke the deadlock when Jack Grealish headed in the 1st goal of the encounter in 60th minute.

Erik Ten Hag side was distabilized and struggled to get back into the game until 78th minute, when Bruno Fernandez got the controversial equalizer but which VAR check cleared Rashford from being offside in the build up that resulted in the equalizer.

However, four minutes later, the game changer who came in as a super sub sent a defense splitting cross for Marcus Rashford to score the back breaking winning goal and his ninth consecutive goals for United.

With the victory, United had won nine matches in a row in all competitions and with a four game premier league winning streak.
