SAGAMU LG SPORTS COUNCIL EULOGISES HON. AFOLABI ODULATE

The Executive Chairman, Sagamu Local Government, Hon. Afolabi Odulate, has been given accolades for his various contributions towards the upliftment of Sporting activities in the Council Area.

The Chairman, Sagamu LG Sports Council, Mr Gbenga Ifetayo, gave the commendations during the Sagamu “Boxing Day Competition” that took place at Ojumele Square, Makun, Sagamu.

Ifetayo enumerated the area of the Council boss support to include, Boxing, Football, Basketball amongst others.

The Council Chairman, Hon Afolabi ODULATE, while responding, enlightened the people on the numerous importance of Sports as, promoting friendship and Sports fraternity among the youths, stimulating the spirit of sportsmanship and competition in discovering talents for State, National and International events.

Odulate disclosed his strong belief in sports and its attendant health, psychological, physical and spiritual benefits to overall human development, especially amongst the youths.

He further advised that, with the little efforts of his administration on Sports, towards its rejuvenation across the Local Government Area, it would, therefore, be necessary for parents to always encourage their children to participate in Sporting events.

He expressed his appreciation to the officials of Sagamu LG Sports Council for not allowing Sports to die and for always organising good Sports outings in the Area

Hon. Odulate, finally pledged his renewed determination towards Sports development which, according to him, as always been a big business that provides job for the teeming youths who would have taken to crime.
