
Tolu Odebiyi Boosts Food Security Through Training, Promotes Development of Agricultural Sector in Ogun West

The Senator representing Ogun West Senatorial District in the National Assembly, Senator Tolu Odebiyi has facilitated another massive agricultural empowerment training programme for over 450 people drawn from all the 59 wards in Ogun West Senatorial District, as well as nominees of political and community leaders in Ogun West Senatorial District.
The five (5) – day agricultural value chain program, tagged “Promotion and Development Of Horticulture (Vegetable)/Maize and cassava Value Chain” monitored by the Centre for Management Development (CMD), which commenced on Monday 29th August, 2022 and ended by Friday, 2nd September, 2022.
The training was aimed at boosting food security, enhanced productivity, increase incomes and creating new employment opportunities for the people in the Senatorial District.
Representing the Senator at the training venues, Mr. Kolajo Owolabi who is a Senior aide of the Senator, noted that the multi – pronged empowerment Opportunities is a testament to the fact that Senator Odebiyi is a thoroughbred professional, promise keeper and a true friend of the masses.
He further said that, the program forms part of the efforts of the Senator to combat food insecurity and boosters economic growth in Ogun West.
Items distributed at the event included; Starter packs, Cassava presser, Fabricated hammer mill, Chipping machine, Cassava grater, Cassava peelers, Pruning knives, Petrol Grinding machine, Vegetable cutters, Pruning secateurs, Refrigerator and others were distributed to beneficiaries at the training.
The beneficiaries not only commended the people – oriented Senator for bringing the much needed agricultural training programme to their various communities, but also promised to make good use of the knowledge and skills acquired during the trainings.
