The Ipokia Local Government Executive Chairman, Hon Agbetokun Olawale Wasiu (Onikoyi), has charged the Council Staff to emulate the virtues of Comrade Oluwaseyi Adenike Ajala, the outgoing Director of Education, information and Sports department of the Council

Hon Agbetokun, ably represented at the event by the Vice chairman, Hon. Makanjuola Sewanu James, made  this charge during the retirement ceremony organised for Mrs Ajala at the council Secretariat on Tuesday 18th January, 2022.

The Council Boss described Mrs Ajala as a hard-working, God fearing, amiable, diligent, punctual and thorough bred professional.

Speaking further, Onikoyi said that her contributions to the growth, progress and development of the local government are enormous and that the Council will miss her wealth of experience.

Various personalities at the event attested to the Sterling qualities of the outgoing Director. Amongst such personalities, is the Head of Local Government Administration, Mr ‘Wole Adeosun, who was ably represented by the Director of Water Supply and Environmental Sanitation, Mr Olatunji Olusegun Jelili, paid a glowing tribute to Mrs Ajala for being a distinguished and selfless worker, he called on other workers to emulate the spirit and utilized thier time during service years.

The Outgoing Director of Information, Comrade Adenike Ajala, was full of gratitude to the Council Boss, for giving her enabling environment to operate, she equally lauded the Management for their Cooperation and the entire workers for their loyalty, support and commitment and charges them to rededicate themselves to duties.

At the retirement party reception, held for the retiree at RESPA hall, Iyana Cele, Car wash, Abeokuta, the Chairman of the Occasion, Comrade Olatunji Ayuba the Ogun NULGE President, described Comrade Adenike Ajala as a workaholic, efficient, dependable and a kind principal officer, while wishing her a highly rewarding retirement.

Comrade Ayuba also disclosed that, the Local Government Service will miss her vast of experience.

While making his farewell address, Comrade Seun Abati of the Mass Communication department, Federal Polytechnic Ilaro, lauded the virtues of Comrade Ajala for the invaluable support she accorded him when he was vying for the Chairmanship position of Local Government Information Chapel (LOGIC) while he was still with the local government service. He said that the experience will forever remain green in his memory.

The  members of Nigeria Association of Women Journalists, Ogun state branch, (NAWOJ) led by the State Chairperson, Comrade Dupe Sobunkola were at the ceremony to honor the celebrant, who is also the State NAWOJ Vice Chairperson, and praised her for her active roles in the association as well as Ogun NUJ and for being a jolly good fellow.

The event was well attended by important personalities from various segment of the society, amongst were Alh. ‘Tayo Sanni and Chief Kayode Ekundayo, both are retired Head of Local Government Administration in Ogun State Local Government Service.
