Valentine:Ogun NAWOJ urges parents to counsel their children against Get Rich Quick Syndrome

The Nigeria Association of Women Journalists, NAWOJ, Ogun State Chapter has commenced a sensitization campaign to educate parents on how to counsel their children to be weary of free gifts as they celebrate Valentine day.

The sensitisation campaign which took the members to different religious organizations on Friday continued today with visits to The Redeemed Christian Church of God, Agape Mega Parish, Olorunsogo, Saint Peters Cathedral, Ake Abeokuta, End time Christ Ministry, Abiola Way, Abeokuta and The Popular Lafenwa Market .

The Association had earlier visited, the Secretariat mosque, Oke-Ilewo, NATA Central mosque, Mechanic Village Kobape road, OOPL Central mosque N.N.P.C and Abbadiya Muslim Jamaat all in Abeokuta.

According to the NAWOJ Chairperson, Mrs Modupeola Sobukola, the sensitisation was in an effort to stem the tide of “The get rich quick” syndrome among the youth.

She stressed the need for Parents to always ask questions and monitor the movement of their Children at all times to avoid been used for ritual purposes which is now rampant in Ogun State.
