Yewa South LG, Ilaro:Ogunsola Assumes Office, Amidst People’s Encomium

Amidst fun fair and celebration of victory, the newly sworn in Hon. Abraham Babatunde Ogunsola assumed office, today, as the Executive Chairman of Yewa South local government, at the Council Secretariat, Ilaro.
He was welcomed to the Council Secretariat with funfair and pageantry after being sworn-in by the governor of Ogun State, His Excellency, Prince (Dr.) Dapo Abiodun, CON. Having obtained his certificate of return from Ogun State Independent Electoral Commission (OGISIEC),

The newly elected chairman is on the right, putting on green native cap, standing next to the vice chairman.
In his inaugural address, the Chairman thanked Governor Dapo Abiodun for his “unyielding loyalty to the party and doggedness for fairness throughout the electioneering process.”
He said “the Governor showed a great sense of duty and fatherhood to all concerned in the local government electioneering process of 2024 and that allowed for free, fair and credible elections across the state.”
He said, he obtained the mandate of the people, hence he intends to run ” a government of the people, by the people, for the people, leaving no stone unturned in ensuring that dividends of democracy get to the doorsteps of all in the local government”
He also appreciated the Head of Local Government Administration (HOLGA), Mr. Oluwole Fateru, for holding forth since the expiration of the last administration, saying that he hoped to have a good working relationship with him.
Hon Ogunsola was accompanied to Council area by the new Vice Chairman, Hon. Bankole Sheriff Olanrewaju; the chairperson and the wife of the Vice Chairman.
In attendance at the reception ceremony at the secretariat are scores of party dignitaries, ace professionals, religious leaders and the people of the Area.
